Call for Abstracts - Symposium 2008

The 23nd International Symposium of the Society of Core Analysts

Noordwijk aan Zee, Netherlands, 27th to 30th September 2009

Symposium Theme:
“Improved Core Analysis for Unconventional Fields”

The conference will be held at the Hotels van Oranje, Noordwijk (http://www.hotelsvanoranje.com) consisting of a workshop and 3 days of technical sessions (including both oral and poster presentations). The theme of the workshop will consider coupled subsurface processes (THMC, HMC, etc.), the title to be confirmed at a later date.

The SCA Technical Committee invites abstract submission for oral presentations and posters for the following proposed sessions:

  1. Case Studies – in particular integrated studies applying core analysis to reservoir engineering and improved field understanding
  2. Improved SCAL Techniques and Interpretation
  3. Wettability - Determination/Restoration  – Practices and Recommendations
  4. Displacement Mechanisms - understanding the key reservoir processes
  5. Reservoir Characterization (Rock and Fluids) - including sample characterization and selection, scale of measurement, optimizing test design
  6. Pore Scale Imaging and Modelling
  7. Improved/Enhanced Oil Recovery and injection processes
  8. Sequestration – CO2, H2S, etc.
  9. Other. (If your paper does not fit directly into any of the above then please suggest an alternative topic/theme)

==> ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS CLOSED <==

ABSTRACTS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 15th FEBRUARY 2009. ONLY ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED USING THIS ELECTRONIC FORM WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE CONFERENCE.
