The Program:

Registration information for these exciting activities at ASSAMALIYA Island on the east cost of Abu Dhabi will be posted as soon as possible.
The Trips and Activities Sub-committee and the Emirates Heritage Club are pleased to announce a sightseeing trip to one of the most gorgeous islands of Abu Dhabi. The trip will take place on Friday 31st October, Mark this event on you Calendar !!!

Lots of Activities will take place during this event. Participants and their dependents will have the privilege to ride Arabian horses and camels, practice shooting, enjoy sea and sand sailing, visit plenty of eco-systems, and most enjoyably live “the former UAE life”.

Casual outfits and sport shoes are recommended for this trip; however, participants are free to wear what suits them…. “Jeans are perfect for horse riding” !!!

Friday, October 31 - Silks, Spices and Gold

Leaders: Mr. Adel Bamakhrama & Mrs. Khulood Al Nayadi

The Program:

We leave Abu Dhabi early in the morning and travel north-east, passing Jebel Ali, the world’s largest man-made harbour.
Moving on, we arrive at the Mall of the Emirates which houses Ski Dubai, the world’s largest indoor winter sports facility. . After passing by Zabeel Park in Karama, we will finally arrive at the creek side opposite National Bank of Dubai.
We will then spend time touring the Bastakiya area and Dubai Museum before reaching the abra station. Following time honoured tradition, we will cross the Creek on an abra and walk through the heady scents of the spice market to Dubai’s famous Gold Souk. Exquisitely crafted jewellery is available here at some of the world’s lowest prices.

After lunch at the Burjuman (Please note that the LOC will leave the lunch for the guests to choose their favorite food on their expenses), we will proceed to enjoy the spectacular beauty of Burj Al Arab via the Jumeira beach and on to Madinat Jumeirah before the journey back to Abu Dhabi.

Thursday, October 30, A BU DHABI

An Exciting Desert Safari Adventure in the historical region of Abu Dhabi.

The Programe:

15:30 – The group will be picked up by Land Cruisers from the meeting point in Abu Dhabi city and will be transferred to the historical famous region of Al Khatem .

Upon reaching the desert, the vehicles will be stopping at a shuttling point to deflate the tyres giving a chance to the guest to click some pictures among the astonishing dunes of Al Khatem.
The group will start dune bashing in 4x4 vehicles, during which they will be touring the golden sands of desert and have a stop over for a sunset picture shoot.

As each guest arrives at the campsite, attendants dressed in the local attire will accord the guest a traditional Arabic welcome. Kahwa (Arabic Coffee) and Rutab (Dates) will be offered to them as they relax in the majestic sea of sands and Arabic set up. Camel Riding, Sand Skiing and more activities will be arranged at the campsite.

After all activities the BBQ dinner will be opened. The group will have the fun of having their Dinner in the desert.
