The 31st International Symposium of the Society of Core Analysts

The Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Austria

August 28 to August 31 2017

 Symposium Theme: Maximizing the Value from your Core

The 31st annual SCA Symposium will be held at The Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.  This year’s conference will kick off with a Short Course on “Imaging Techniques for Core Analysis”on the Morning of August 28th   followed by 3½ days of technical sessions (including both oral and poster presentations).  The SCA Technical Committee invites abstract submissions for oral presentations and posters for the following theme-related and other topics.

  1. Coring Operations
  2. Laboratory Core Analysis
  3. Improved SCAL Techniques and Interpretation
  4. Wettability
  5. Displacement Mechanisms/EOR/IOR
  6. GeoMechanics
  7. Core-Log Integration
  8. Pore Scale Imaging and Modelling
  9. Unconventionals and shales
  10. Other (If your paper does not fit directly into any of the above then please suggest an alternative topic/theme)

Abstracts are due January 22, 2017. Only abstracts submitted electronically at scaweb.org will be considered for this conference.

Authors will be notified of acceptance by March 1st 2017. If you require any further information regarding the proposed technical topics/themes contact Derrick Green (SCA VP Technology) at scavptech@scaweb.org.
